Mexico opens unprecedented exhibit of Frida Kahlo's art work?
Yes, 100 years since her birthday, Frida Kahlo (b.1907- 1954) is being posthumously honored with the largest-ever exhibit of her paintings at the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City, Mexico. Titled Frida Kahlo Centennial Exhibition It open June 13, 2007 and closes on August 19.
Showing are 353 pieces with works on loan from museums/collections in Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, Detroit, and Japan. Included paintings never displayed as well as documents and 50 letters written by Kahlo.
Let's admit the truth; many of us don't know what Acro Yoga is. Meet Richard Baimbridge who has mastered the art of Acro Yoga, which is an amalgamation of yoga, massage and acrobatics. He is teaching at Davannayoga on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:15 pm and Saturday mornings at 10 am. He is also leading AcroYoga classes at Arbol de Yoga on Mondays and Wednesdays at 8 pm. He speaks English, Spanish and Mandarin, thus language cannot be a barrier in this learning experience. Take a chance, and try out new yoga therapy which Richard claims to be "yummy in its playfulness" and assures that you and your partner will love the experience of partner yoga and massage.
